On behalf of the Chamber of Agriculture of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab & the Regional Agriculture Directorate of Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab, we invite Dutch companies to take part during the 3rd edition of the international agricultural fair Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (Faid 2018) which will be held from 27 – 29 September. Why participate: 

The World Economic Forum placed Morocco as the 1st most competitive economy in North Africa, in its African Competitiveness Report 2014-2015. In addition, the Moroccan government invests a lot in the development of its country. Due to the strong economic growth in the recent years, Southern Morocco is one of the areas receiving a great deal of attention and new projects are being launched in the fields of Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Livestock, Port Development & Renewable Energy. The business sector plays a major role in this, and the international business community is invited to contribute with their expertise and experience.

  • Moroccan, African and International parties will be present with interest in new technologies, knowledge and trade;
  • Dakhla has an excellent climate for agriculture and horticulture;
  • Focus on exports to Europe and Africa;
  • Morocco wants to double seafood exports by 2020 with its National Fisheries Plan;

The objectives of this edition are focused on (i) creating commercial opportunities for the region (ii) B2B matchmaking between companies, investors and government (iii) improving the quality of the products from the region and introducing new technology and know-how. The most important sectors are Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Water and Environmental Technologies. The fair has a total surface area of ​​3,000m2 and comprises 5 poles, including an international section where Dutch companies will present their knowledge, technology and services.

Activities and Holland Promotion: For the Dutch delegation, introductions, workshops and round tables will also be organized during the fair, in which various themes will be discussed focusing on the future of agriculture, horticulture, livestock farming and the fishing sector. In addition, company visits are also organized to experience the practice up close and to speak with experts from the field. Finally, there will also be breeding competitions specifically for cattle breeding related to the selection of the best breeders.

Costs: The costs of participation are € 1.350, – excl. VAT per participant (€650, – excl. VAT after subsidy *). Travel and accommodation costs and any costs such as interpreters and individual transport are at your own expense. CGCB has favorable conditions for hotel accommodation and airline ticket.
